I love my work and feel honoured to support people in making
desired changes in their lives.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University
of Victoria and a Master of Counselling degree from City University
of Seattle. My graduate research focused on the experiences of
women transitioning from adolescence to adulthood. With
attention to the many challenges, pressures and expectations
young women face today, I explored how private music listening
is used as a means for emotional self-care and as a form of
self-therapy. This research has appeared in publications by the
British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and the Music
Therapy Association of British Columbia.
I have experience providing counselling and support services in a variety of settings including crisis centres, community counselling clinics, women’s centres, educational institutions and mental health organizations.
I currently have a private practice in Vancouver and provide therapeutic services to people facing issues of:
• Grief and loss
• Violence and abuse in intimate relationships
• Substance use
• Relationship concerns
• Disordered eating
• Life transitions (developmental, end of relationship, career change)
I find balance and enjoyment in my life through music, yoga, travel, riding my bike and spending time with my family and friends.
